I myself never support forcing women in the name of culture tradition and heritage to do things they dnot want to do..but I believe there should be decency and etiquete in one's behaviour..even in his/ her protests...GNO, through today's episode, I feel somehow have left a wrong message.... Pupe overstepped all limits of civilization today....Protest can have and does have its own language..for revolting one does not have to go so much over the top and create a melo-drama in front of everyone...after all it is her family with loads of problems (that everone's family has) and they never forced her to marry deep in the first place...she herself ran after him after a point of time and after finding gora she forgot everything..no matter what explanation she gives about her not knowing true love when she ran after deep...she cannot put her entire family into such jeopardy for her whims...and not the least in the manner she did today!!! GNO is a serial that people watch not only for entertainment but also for learning experience as well..and this kind of depictions are dangerous, to my mind....
ReplyDeleteFurther,I have alwaz appreciated for its realistic flavour..and gora's concern over the gross problems of his life in terms of scarcity of basic necessities has brought back that realistic touch...If we put aside our romanticism and look through the lens of reality...there is no denying the fact that love is an extremely tender feelings which gets hurt and damaged by the crude realities of life...with hunger. poverty and struggle for survival...love only transpires.... GNO for the first time has put forth that aspect..and i appreciate that....thses are reality bites and one cannot ignore....
At the beginning, this serial was seemingly different from the others, everything, including story, making, ambiance, was different. But now, in a direction the story is moving ahead, I have the gut feeling that the story is going towards the "Woh Saat Din" or "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" way! The only difference is that there will be no marriage , and post matrimonial realization. Instead, Pradipto and Pupe will go for searching Gora, Gora will run away here and there, and finally because of Pradipto's generosity Pupe will realize the true love , Gora will sacrifice etc etc.... I hope this ending does not happen, otherwise, this serial will turn out to be a biggest disappointment of serving the same old liquor in old bottle, and that too with a year long or more stretching!!
