After mucking up the Maghotsav, the Ganer Opare Team is bent upon to muck up the entire serial. It appears that they are in a race to reach a climax and call it a day soon....... In the process they are not hesitating to throw all decency and etiquette down the window. ....The dialogues have become raw and slang. Punching some ‘Sadhu’ words here and there do not enhance the quality of the dialogue. . ........Instead of long duel of arguments and counterarguments with sharpness and rationale for which Tagore stood for, we are dished out raw and slang words like ‘SALA’, ‘Agun Jalea Debo’ etc. Did any of Tagore stories eulogise such uttering?.............The songs have become banal and insipid too. No longer the songs even touch, leave alone shake, our souls. I feel sorry for the promising singers like Samantak and Shamistha. Songs are forcefully injected without any care or thought................It appears the Ganer Opare Team has opted for the easier option of making this serial an ordinary tearjerkers with clichés and absurdities in order to pro-up TRP ratings. I believe they have got it wrong. ..................I had said in one of the earlier post that GO should not necessarily depict what happens in our everyday lives. Rather they should draw inspirations from so many writings of Tagore and try to show what ought to happen – what is desirable and sustainable................If they fail do that, which appears to be the case, they should dissociate the name of Tagore from this serial forthwith. For this they ought to make a public confession and seek apology of Bengali intelligentsia.
ReplyDeleteI am just thankful to the author for taking the trouble to do this for us; as the timimgs of the show has become weird, only through this blog we get to know what has been happening. Thank you. This show was facing problems and was being called off -- so I do not know whether this 'trikon prem' is a matter of increasing TRP or finishing off the serial; Maghotsab ta besh thanda laaglo in comparison to the hype it created; aar Gora, Tintin er RabindraNath er sathey boro hoye otha hoyni; they are common people; hence ei boyeshe ora je normal Kolkata-r changra basha use korbe, seta-i swabhabik. Anyways; sobar nijoswo bhabna chinta achhey; however, I really like the serial ( this is the only one I watch :D) - and I thank the author for taking the trouble to let us know what we missed.

ReplyDelete@those who have questioned prodipto's sensitivity towards pupe, I would like to point out that if you have watched the episodes carefully, you would have noticed that deep never looked at pupe after the announcement was made...pupe was standing much behind and their eyes never met..had this happened, deep would have rejected outrite... how is he to understand that pupe does not have any consent in this marriage given the type of conversation he had with her just the nite before maghotsav...???!!!!
the depiction of pupe's character yesterday was by far imbued with utmost ridicule...the act bewteen rani and pupe appeared like a fight between two street dogs...no depth in any of the dialogues...earlier the dialogues felt like soul soothing...
what a disgrace to a glorious project..the GNO should just resign and the soap should just go off the air...like many other serials..DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!! what does the team think it is doing???!!!!
When Gora started singing after the "Pupe & Prodipto" engagement announcement, I felt that it's just another Bollywood type "masala" mix...trying to gain TRP! The last two episodes were thoroughly unplanned and poorly executed. I wonder what the scrip writer and directors are trying to prove - is Prodipto & his family members are all stupids? GO should disappear soon.
