The downward slide continues – to our utter dismay. GNO preaches though the elderly character of Thammi the ‘significance’ of Swaraswati Puj and Valentine’s Day. What a pity. Neither do we want to be preached nor Gora and Tintin need to be told about such trivialities. What happened to the Directional Team – suffering from famine of imagination and paralysis of ideas? To say the least it is CHILDISH. Thammi’s persona could have been better depicted by putting some relevant dialogues drawing from the plethora of writings of Tagore under such circumstances – when the protagonist is rebelling against the tradition and the dignified voice of conscience in case of a triangle of love.
